IQBoard Principle

Resistive Interactive Whiteboards are made with a resilient front sheet and a hard backboard. The back of the front sheet and the front of the backboard are coated with a resistive material. Under normal condition, the resistive sides of each are separated by a tiny air gap. When contact is made to the surface of the front sheet, the gap is closed, registering the precise location of the touch. This analog signal is converted to a serial data stream and then sent to a computer for further processing. Resistive technology allows one to use finger, stylus, or any other pointing device to operate.
